Need A Laugh?

Apparently Skye thought I did.

We went to a "fun run" mock agility trial in our area this morning.  Parker did fine, no major flukes.  Then Skye... what can I say?  I used to dream of competing in agility with her.  I think she wanted to put those dreams to rest.

The worst part?  Skye has never had so much fun on the agility course as she did today.  That's my girl.

Also- thanks for all the great advice about the raw diet!  I will be researching more before deciding on the best path for the dogs, but after crunching the numbers I at least have a few options to cross off the list.  The priority is to do what is best for Parker and Skye, but I can achieve that without breaking the bank.  I'll keep you posted on what I end up with!

  2. I admit...I did chuckle out loud and so did my mama. I can see who was in charge. Sorry to say, it was Skye, all the way. Thanks for sharing.

  6. awwww.... actually, you're just asking her to do too much. All that head shaking and sniffing are stress indicators.. very very typical of newbie agility dogs. Go back to doing much shorter sequences. One/two obstacles and then major treat/celebration.

  7. Glad you're doing research and getting lots of opinions on the raw diet-good for you!

    P.S. Loved that agility video:-)

  8. We are trying our home version of agility...maybe one day I'll get rocket into the real thing. Rocket loves jumping so we made him a few hurdles of different sizes and he loves jumping over all of them! Yuki she only can jump over the small one, and is scared to do the other ones. My dreams for her agility training may not be realized as well, lol.
